Pregnancy Updates

by One Frugal Chick on 10/08/2012

I went in for the Level II ultrasound today. Everything looked pretty good except for the cyst on her brain and also her head is measuring small. Normal measurements run 10% through 90% and our little girl is at 6%.  Because of that and the cyst they said there might be a problem.  So as you can imagine I have been an emotional wreck all day. Our hospital is running a brand new type of blood test screening that is in the second phase of trials. I opted for the blood test. It will tell us an abnormal or normal result (tests for chromosomal abnormalities).  It was non-invasive, and they just drew the blood from my arm, unlike an amniocenteses (I don’t want to risk a miscarriage). We will get the results back in 1 to 2 weeks. I am exhausted. I am praying that our results will come back normal. I already love this little girl so much, and this is breaking my heart.

Saying prayers for you. As a mom, I know how much a mother worries. If you can, try to do things you enjoy to keep your mind as occupied as possible. (((hugs)))
